England cricketer Ravi Bopara attended the twenty third annual Middlesex Premier Cricket League Awards on Saturday 8th November 2014. The league, which is one of the largest Sunday amateur cricket leagues in London and the South East honoured over a hundred cricketers for their prowess in batting, bowling and fielding and awarded trophies to divisional winners and champions of the T20 competition. The Chairman of Middlesex Premier Cricket League, Dipu Patel, interviewed Ravi Bopara, asking him about the career breaks he has received, his sporting ethos and his predictions for the forthcoming England tour of Sri Lanka. Ravi Bopara started as a club cricketer and moved through the ranks to reach the pinnacle of playing international cricket.

In 2009, Ravi became one of the few batsman to score three consecutive hundreds for England against the West Indies. More recently, Ravi has featured as an all-rounder in the shorter formats of the game for England and in September 2014, he was chosen to be part of the England squad for the tour of Sri Lanka. Bopara has also played for Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League, Chittagong Kings in the Bangladesh Premier League and Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League.
