I have been having a nerdy nirvana weekend having attended the Destination Star Trek London convention held at The Excel Centre in London (19th – 21st October 2012). Apart from the gathering of the Five Captains – James T Kirk, Jean Luc Picard, Benjamin Sisko, Katheryn Janeway and Jonathan Archer – for the first ever Captain’s Summit, the event was a great opportunity for fans to meet and be photographed with many of their favourite characters from the show, obtain cherished autographs; hear talks from the actors, producers and crew and witness the ‘Star Trek’ stunt show. The highlight of the weekend for me was the chance to get five autographed photos from the five captains – believe me this took hours of queuing!
