About Women in Telecoms & Technology

Women in Telecoms & Technology (WiTT) is an informal networking group focused on education and enhancing women’s careers by sharing experiences and lessons learned in members’ career development. The Group meets every other month and members include business women at all stages in their careers in organisations including BT, Vodafone, Everything Everywhere, IBM, Intelsat, Ofcom, Reuters, Sprint, Warner Home Video, lawyers, consultants, accountants and entrepreneurs.

WiTT was founded in November 2001 by a group of women executives all working in the communications and technology industries in the UK. These women realised that often they were the only woman in their organisation at a senior level and they set up WiTT to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and to share experiences.

Aims & Objectives

To network and meet other women who share a common interest in the telecommunications and technology industries.
To educate members on current and future trends in the industry.
To provide guidance and mentoring through the exploration of real-life career paths.
To share ideas about how to operate in the current work environment.

WiTT currently has more than 500 members and has grown through word of mouth. The group is open to any woman who is affiliated with and interested in the telecommunications and technology industries.
