I am delighted to be included the 50 Most Incredible Women in STEM 2014 list alongside Sheryl Sandberg, Meg Whitman, Joanna Shields, Gini Rometty, Sherry Coutu and many others. Compiled by Forensic Outreach, the aim of the list is to “tip a proverbial hat” to the extraordinary women working in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Forensic science is one of the only disciplines within STEM that boasts a majority in female graduates and Forensic Outreach has been an active part of the science curriculum in classrooms throughout the United Kingdom and Europe since it was established in 2001. Conceived to introduce forensic science as an integrative and cross-disciplinary approach to science education, Forensic Outreach has worked with over one hundred academic institutions and charities to date.
